We’ve put together some commonly asked questions to give you some more information about what Corporate Training Services has to offer you.

 

Will you customize training for my company?

We understand that every business and organization is different and pre-packaged training programs don’t work for everyone. Our client-focused approach allows us to design training programs that are customized to deliver the results you need.

 

What is your approach to training?

We approach each engagement with our long-term goal in mind; a lasting, beneficial relationship with our clients. We know that in order to achieve that goal, we need to meet and exceed your expectations. We do that by spending time up front to understand the challenges your business faces and the uniqueness of your organization so we can help you get the best return on your investment.

 

What are the delivery methods for your training?

One size rarely fits all, which is why we deliver the training you need in the style that suits your business. In the classroom, the boardroom, the lab, on the site or online. Our professional staff will analyze your needs and develop training in the format that works best for you.

Customized e-Learning The reality of today’s working environment is that people are stretched more than ever before. The need to improve job skills coupled with less time has resulted in the need for training options that go beyond a traditional classroom. We develop customized e-learning courses to suit your goals, participant computing environments and budget.

Classroom (workshop) Our classroom workshops are taught by experts in the field using advanced adult learning techniques that encourage understanding and promotes communication and the practical application of skills. Interactive hands-on training is a key component of our driver and technical training programs allowing students to obtain practical experience on state-of-the-art equipment.

Success is measured by participant satisfaction, verification of acquired skills, skill implementation and the achievement of stated objectives.

 

Will you train my staff at our location?

We will provide training at a time and a place that is most convenient for your team. We can deliver at one of our Durham College campus locations, at your place of business or offsite at a venue of your choosing.

 

I am looking for training in a specific area but I don't see it listed on this website? Does this mean that you don't offer it?

Many of our clients choose us for our ability to design customized training that targets specific objectives. Please contact us so we can learn more about your needs and design a course or workshop that supports the goals of your business.

 

How do I pay for my course?

We happily accept all major credit cards. Invoicing options are available for our Corporate Clients.

 

How much is parking at the Whitby Campus?

Gated Lots: $4.50/hour, maximum $14.00
Daily Rates: $14.00
Weekends: 5pm Friday – 5am Monday $3.00
Evenings: Monday – Friday, 5pm – 5am $3.00

 

What is your Refund/Cancellation Policy?

If you wish to cancel or request a transfer, you must inform Corporate Training Services by emailing corporate.training@durhamcollege.ca at least 6 business days in advance of the start date, and we will gladly re-schedule or refund your training. If you cancel or request a transfer between 5 and 1 business days prior to the training start date, you will forfeit 50% of your course fee. If you fail to attend without informing Corporate Training services in advance, the 100% of your course fee will be charged. If Corporate Training Services cancels or reschedules a class, we will provide at least 3 business days’ notice to students and will not charge fees for the original class and/or work with students to schedule the class for a mutually acceptable date.

If you have an outstanding balance of fees owing to Durham College, the fees collected via your registration on this site will be applied first to any owing balance to Durham College. The remaining balance of funds (if any) will be applied toward your Corporate Training Services course enrolment on this site. Please note, your registration in a Corporate Training Services course will not be secured until full payment for that course is received.
