Tara Brodie, B.A (Hons), M.A.

Director

Tara is the organizational leader of Corporate Training Services and can be contacted for any questions about CTS offerings and services. If you have suggestions for CTS or if you would like to provide kudos for any CTS staff, please contact her. Do you have a training concept that you would like to bring to life? The CTS team can make it a reality! Tara has a diverse business background of progressively senior roles that spans 20 years. She has experience in Sales, Services, HR, Finance, Curriculum Development, Teaching, Management and Executive leadership in sectors from post-secondary education, Information Technology, Software, Logistics and Corporate training.

 

Craig Campbell

Account Manager, General Motors Projects

Mr. Campbell has fulfilled the role of Account Manager, working directly with General Motors as their Retail Training Manager for the last 15 years. He has had the pleasure of working as a valued training partner with General Motors of Canada for 22 years in total.

Over his tenure, the Durham Team has expanded to assist in all areas within GM, including Sales, Service, Parts, Fleet, Events, and Certification. He has been responsible to manage and lead the day to day operations of the overall program to maintain the highest quality training programs in all mediums.

Prior to taking over the role of Training Manger, Mr. Campbell was an active Product Plus instructor, script writer and host. He has continued to advance his customer focused coaching style and leads all curriculum development. Because of his active role in each program, he is capable of assisting in any General Motors request for a dynamic presentation.

 

Doug Hart

Curriculum Design Manager

Doug Hart has been with Durham College since 1995 and has been a key contributor to the organization's growth. His areas of expertise include Organizational Diagnostics, Customer Experience Management, Implementation Strategies, Management development and Curriculum Design. Clients value his ability to see into an organization's culture and identify the abstract inhibitors of ideal front-line staff behaviours. Doug is brought into projects where the client's goal is to align their corporate values and strategic plan into visible behaviours among the managers and front line staff. Doug has designed and delivered national training programs for some of Canada's largest organizations including Revera Health Care, Chevrolet, Saturn, Cadillac, Saab, Canadian Tire, Hyundai Auto Canada.

As the Training designer for the OPG Nuclear Construction Supervisory Academy, Doug was responsible for designing all participant and instructor materials.


 

Alana Magsombol

Program Manager

Alana is your point of contact for all of your technical and custom training needs.

Whether you are interested in forklift training, Working at Heights or Heavy Equipment Operator license, Alana will guide you to the right program that fits your individual and company needs. All programs can be customized with training offered at our site or yours. With over 19 years in the education field, including 10 years with Durham Continuing Education’s LINC/ESL department, Alana has played an integral role in assisting new Canadians in resettling in The Durham Region through partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Skilled in program delivery, coordination and community building, Alana will provide you or your business with client-driven professional results.


 

Andrew Mundy

Operations Manager

Andrew manages the daily operations of Corporate Training Services. He is always looking for new and efficient ways to increase our output and uses technology to benefit our clients and staff. Andrew has over 20 year’s experience working in various IT and management positions including more than 17 years with Durham College. Andrew previously managed the Pickering Learning Site for Durham College where he was responsible for all aspects of running the learning site.

Andrew Scuse

Custom Solutions Manager

In his current role in the Corporate Training Division of Durham College, Andrew is accountable for providing innovative training solutions to addresses the needs of the business community. Andrew works with organizations to design programs from the ground up that will engage participants and provide the practical skills they need.

Andrew joined Durham College in 2005 as the project manager for a National corporate e-learning initiative. His role involved the preparation and quality control of training materials as well as scheduling of production, budgeting and client communication. In addition to this work, Andrew has managed curriculum development projects for many clients in the public, private and non profit sectors including, The MEARIE Group, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, General Motors of Canada, Hyundai Canada and Ontario Power Generation. Andrew brings a strong commitment to client service and needs analysis into every project.

 

 

Ashley Lyons

Training Coordinator

Ashley is your first point of contact for any questions you have about the Truck Driver Training programs. On the training side, Ashley has worked with many people going through the Second Career process as well as the Canada-Ontario Job Grant. Ashley is also your go-to for any questions or issues you run into on our site. Feel free to reach out, Ashley looks forward to connecting with you.

 

 

Marie Sullivan

Community Partnership Coordinator

Marie has been with Durham College Corporate Training Services since 2012. Marie came to Durham College after a lengthy career as the Administrative Assistant to middle management within Bell Canada. She is currently involved in the administration of many of our national corporate training projects for clients including General Motors, Hyundai Canada and Ontario Power Generation.

Marie cultivates the important relationships with our external industry partners who collaborate with us to provide employment opportunities for our students.
