No one ever said transitioning from the front lines to managing your operation would be easy. As a newly appointed leader, you need to take a few steps back in order to see the bigger picture. First, we’ll discuss differences in working “on” vs. “in” the business system. You will learn how to effectively focus on running the business system, while delegating day-to-day tasks that can competently be handled by your team.
DEFINING THE STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENT
The strategic environment is laced in complexity; it’s an intricately woven web, if you will. Here, you will learn how an internal and external business framework helps define your strategic environment. We’ll show you how to strategically anticipate and prepare for complex changes that affect your business performance and outcomes. You will gain the knowledge and skills to become an agile and flexible decision-maker under challenging circumstances.
FOCUS ON BREAKTHROUGHS
You will learn how to apply breakthrough objectives to your strategic vision to create a highly focused three- to five-year plan packed with powerful results. A breakthrough objective is defined as any goal that when achieved will cause the organization to fundamentally change. Participants will learn how to set these breakthrough objectives.
